Clicker training is a positive reinforcement method that uses a small mechanical device to make a "click" sound. The click marks the exact second your dog does the right thing. It tells the dog a tasty treat is coming.
How It Works
The Sound: Pressing the clicker makes a sharp, distinct clicking noise.
The Meaning: You teach your dog that every click is followed by a food reward.
The Timing: The click acts as an instant "snapshot" marker for good behavior.

Clicker training is a psychologically sound training technique that allows dogs freedom to consent and centers their well being. Obedience is not forced upon dogs under my care, but instead dogs are empowered to learn in a fun, engaging, and science backed way. I train using classical, operant, and counter conditioning techniques. Dogs are always met where they are at, and I never use force to obtain compliance. No prong collars, no shocks, vibrates, or unpleasant sounds, just a dog who feels safe and wants to learn!

Simple behavior training starts at $100/session with discounts available for packages. Complex behavior cases may incur higher fees. Additionally, I may suggest other professionals such as a mobile dog gym for reactive, elderly, or handicapped dogs or behavior veterinarian for dogs who would benefit from short or long term psychiatric medication.
